My goal is to create the reality of my subjects with a feeling of relaxed tranquility.

Anita Moore Wigler is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and now resides in the Dallas area.

From an early age, Anita developed an interest in the creative and artistic fields, studying painting and classical music. She went on to get degrees in both visual art and vocal performance.

She moved to New York City where she worked in the art gallery business while painting her own works and performing choral music as well as starting her own teaching studio.

“It has always been my dream to be able to have the ‘best of both worlds’, I never wanted to abandon music for art, or vice versa. I require both painting and music in my life, I would be lacking one of my true-loves if I didn’t have both creative outlets as a source of inspiration.”

I consider myself to be an impressionist painter that enjoys doing landscapes and portraits. I wish to create an ‘impression’ of what I see. I paint with soft brush strokes, focusing on light and color. My goal is to capture the reality of my subjects with a feeling of relaxed tranquility.

Since moving to Texas with her husband and two children, Anita performs with the Dallas Symphony and teaches singing and piano. She is also a member of Millhouse McKinney, a creative work space for women, where she has a painting studio in the historic Downtown McKinney area.
