About the artist...

My goal is to create the reality of my subjects with a feeling of relaxed tranquility.
Anita Moore Wigler, originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a painter and classical musician now based in the Dallas area. From an early age, she immersed herself in the arts, studying both painting and music, later earning degrees in visual art and vocal performance.

After moving to New York City, Anita worked in the art gallery business while continuing to paint, perform and start her own teaching studio. Her career has always balanced both passions:

“It has always been my dream to have the
best of both worlds. I never wanted to
leave behind music for art, or vice versa.
I need both painting and music in my life
— without one, I would be missing a
true source of inspiration.”
As an impressionist painter, Anita enjoys exploring a variety of subjects with a focus on light, color, and atmosphere. Her soft brushwork and vibrant palette aim to create not just an image, but an impression — capturing reality with a sense of relaxed tranquility.

Since settling in Texas with her husband and two children, Anita has continued to nurture both sides of her creative life. She performs with the Dallas Symphony, teaches voice lessons and maintains a painting studio in the McKinney Arts District.
